Miss Izadi is a Retinal Lead at Epsom and St Helier University Hospital and a UK Medical graduate, who has a degree in Medicine from the University of Manchester and in Physiology from University College London.

About

Miss Izadi is a highly specialised Consultant Ophthalmologist, with expertise and knowledge in Retinal Eye Disease, and has undertaken joint academic and clinical training in Ophthalmology at St Paul’s Eye Unit in Liverpool, The Oxford Eye Unit and Moorfield’s Eye Hospital London. During her degree in Physiology, she studied the Neurobiology of Vision and undertook research at the Institute of Ophthalmology in London.

Miss Izadi also has experience of working within the Ophthalmic Pharmaceutical Industry and has a keen interest in clinical research and trials. She has accrued an abundance of clinical trial experience whilst working in the industry and has published articles in multiple peer-reviewed journals. She has presented at both the National and International level. She has a particular interest in new innovations and treatment modalities for Medical Retina disorders. She is presently a substantive Consultant at Epsom and St Helier University Hospital NHS Trust, and is the clinical Lead for Diabetic Maculopathy as well as the clinical Retinal Lead. She has completed several departmental Audits in management of Diabetic Maculopathy and Wet Age Related Macular Degeneration. She is also a Principal Investigator in Clinical Trials at the Trust.
