Sheraz Daya on Delivering the Michael O’Keeffe Lecture at the OSI Conference 2024

Sheraz Daya, our Medical Director at Centre for Sight, had the privilege of delivering the Michael O’Keeffe lecture at the 2024 OSI conference. Being the 75th anniversary of the intraocular lens, he spoke about the history of cataract surgery describing its evolution thorough the ages from 2000BC.

Delivering this lecture was very special for Mr Daya who was a good friend of Irish Opthalmologist and giant, Michael O’Keeffe. A man admired and respected by all. He sadly passed away in January 2023.
